The Opportunity
 
Technical Program Management: Work closely with Engineering, Product and Support leadership
to drive various teams to plan, execute, and complete the delivery of features, releases, and
services to market
Strategic Operations: Define and deliver on KPIs for the organization, as well as driving strategic
operational programs
Expertise: Bringing a level of expertise in software development/QA, technical program
management, product, analytics, and reporting is a requirement
Tooling: Experience with JIRA & Confluence for tracking and communication
Ability to adapt quickly to changing situations, with a tenacious focus on delivering results
Address customer escalations to Engineering
 
About the Team
 
The Technical Program Manager will join the Technical Program Management (TPM) organization at
Nutanix, specifically focusing on the Nutanix storage. The storage team is a highly collaborative group of
engineers, product managers, architects, and customer success experts dedicated to building a world-
class, software-defined storage software delivering scalable IO performance and throughput. The team
operates at the intersection of distributed systems, storage innovation, security, and cloud technologies.
The team thrives on solving complex technical problems, driving customer-centric innovation, and
delivering enterprise-grade solutions used by thousands of customers globally. The team works closely
with cross-functional teams across Nutanix—including Manageability, Unified Storage, Data Services,
Security, Performance, Support, and GTM functions—to ensure seamless platform integration and an
exceptional customer experience. The team values open communication, accountability, innovation, and a strong bias for action.
 
You will report to the Hiring Manager, who values a transparent and inclusive leadership style that
empowers team members to take ownership of their projects while fostering an environment of trust and
collaboration. This role is hybrid, requiring the new hire to be onsite three days a week to facilitate close
teamwork and engagement with colleagues, while still allowing for flexibility in work arrangements.
There are no required travel commitments associated with this role, allowing the Technical Program
Manager to focus exclusively on local project execution and collaboration within the hybrid work model.
 

Your Role

 
Work closely with Development, Test, Documentation, Support and Product Management teams
to deliver high-quality products in a fast-paced environment
Ability to adapt quickly to changing situations, with a tenacious focus on delivering results
Be responsible for the success of key software releases at Nutanix and be a credible and trusted
leader to deliver the SW deliverables to customers with high quality
Drive the planning and execution of new features for releases from concept to GA, leading a
delivery team of Product Managers, Engineering, QE, and other functional teams to deliver
throughout the release phases
Drive and deliver critical project features which involve partnerships with multiple different teams
inside and outside the organization
Build and run with the team the release master plan (schedule, dependencies, risks, etc.), using
your technical background and product knowledge to dedicatedly identify risks, issues and drive
their resolution
Be the authority on software life cycle processes and champion standard methodologies, metrics,
and high-quality standards with your delivery team
Independently and accurately report on the state of your release to executive team and be the
trusted speaker on the state of release in key checkpoint reviews
Maintain consistently high standards of communication, productivity, and teamwork
Obtain outcomes of smooth software features delivery through influence and leadership skills
 
What You Will Bring
 
Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
7+ years of experience in software engineering, quality, and project/program management leading
cross functional teams to deliver programs
Practical experience in Agile methodologies and PMP certification a plus
Strong software engineering technical background with a real passion for delivering high-
performance, quality software
Excellent oral/written communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills. Excellent organizational,
prioritization, and multitasking skills.
Extraordinary skills influencing, teaming, and delivering solutions in a highly complex and nebulous
environment.
Ability to build strong relationships across the organization
Ability to maintain the urgency for project/program delivery
Experience in working with cloud Technologies, CI/CD pipelines, or DevOps practices.
Comfortable collaborating across time zones and distributed teams.
